Job Title: Revit / Job Captain

Short Description: tBP/Architecture (www.tbparchitecture.com) specializes in educational and other public building projects. tBP has offices in Newport Beach and the Bay Area. This position is in our Newport Beach office but may require traveling to job sites throughout Southern California. The position is for a project architect/job captain level and requires prior experience in multi-story structural steel building types in which the applicant was extensively involved in construction document preparation using Revit.
Duties/ Responsibilities: Ability to organize a multi-story public bid project from Schematic Design through bidding using Revit. Assist the Project Manager in developing the project work plan and budget. Perform Code research to assure projects conform to DSA or other governing jurisdiction requirements. Coordinates with consultant engineers to assure integrated documents. Meets with clients, typically with PM or senior designer, and incorporates client’s needs into documents.
Skills/ Requirements: Experienced and proficient in Revit and AutoCAD. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Experienced in multi-floor steel construction. Educational projects and Division of State Architect (DSA) experience preferred. Minimum of four Revit project experience (Revit test maybe required of qualified candidates.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and California Licensed Architect preferred with at least four years of construction document experience.
