Los Medanos College has developed a new College Quadrangle Complex to facilitate future growth and create, per the master plan, a proper campus with a central quadrangle. The complex consists of the Math, Science, and Library buildings and a central quad positioned between the new buildings and the original 280,000 s.f. building. The complex forms a welcoming gateway and new entrance to the college.

The Science Building houses the gamut of natural and earth science laboratories augmented by spaces to encourage and support various teaching and learning styles. The building houses a plethora of science labs which are supported by small and large lecture spaces, a tutorial resource center, a computer center, a rooftop observation deck for teaching astronomy and casual study spaces of varying sizes for students to work and study individually and in small groups.
