The purpose of the 2004 Campus Plan for the College of the Desert was to translate the Educational Master Plan into a guide for future campus development. It identifies proposed sites for new facilities, open spaces and circulation patterns on the Palm Desert campus, and supports the future educational goals of the College. The Master Plan was used as a pre-bond planning tool for a successful 2004 local bond election.

tBP/Architecture also served as Master Architect and assisted the District in the Implementation of their Campus Plan. The Communication Building, designed by tBP, is currently under construction.
