The core of this 48,000 square foot, 720 student Shoal Creek Elementary School is the Learning Resource Center. There are 3 satellite classroom clusters revolving around the LRC. Each classroom cluster contains 8 classrooms which surround “Common” Activities Centers (C.A.C.). Varied learning activities occur in the C.A.C. including academic demonstrations, special learning instructional area, individual learning and group learning. Each classroom offers a wet area for art and science demonstration, an exterior teaching court, a computer alcove and a “giggle pit” as well as the more traditional group learning environment.
This re-use plan of Park Village Elementary School expedited the schedule.
