Chabot College Receives CCFC 2012 Award of Honor

November 13, 2012 – tBP/Architecture received an Award of Honor for the Chabot College Community and Student Services Center at the 2012 Community College Facility Coalition (CCFC) Professional Design Awards. Designed as the “signature” building and highly visible from the campus core as well as Hesperian Boulevard, the Center was developed as part of the new welcoming gateway portal to the campus.

This LEED Platinum Certified project was cited by award jurors: “This project makes a dynamic first impression. The welcoming and inspiring public places engage students and vividly demonstrate the community’s commitment to education. Students and the community are clearly valued in this building. We were impressed with its LEED platinum rating. The building’s exterior was at once impressive and it is a real addition to the campus. The organization of the building is simple and effective. The entry into the student services center is a bright and open space that should attract students to the services available. This is a very student friendly, aesthetically pleasing environment.”
