May 25, 2017 – Golden West College Student Services Building is coming along nicely! Located in the heart of campus, the 52,000 square foot Center is designed to support student success and enhance student growth and development. When completed, the students will enter into a 2-story artia that will allow them to locate the different functions from a central vantage point.
Funded by locally supported Bond Measure M, because of the College’s focus on support for our active military and returning veterans. To support their needs a new Veteran’s Center will provide this unique cohort matriculation services and a touch-down space for students to socialize and study before and after class.
The center is anticipated to open March 2018 and will maintain the campus’ commitment to sustainable design. The Student Services Building was designed with the intention to meet LEED Equivalent. LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient. They use less water and energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
