Groundbreaking for College View School

February 19, 2014 – Glendale Unified School District and tBP/Architecture celebrated the groundbreaking for the new College View School, a comprehensive special needs and special programs school. tBP/Architecture was joined by the Glendale USD Board of Education, District officials, staff, students and parents of College View School. Through the support of Measure S dollars, construction begins March 2014 – anticipated completion August 2015.

College View SchoolCollege View School is a unique school run by Glendale USD and dedicated solely for students 3 years to 22 years in age with extreme special needs. The 50,635 square foot facility will feature a 21st Century Learning Environment with spaces and technology that support individual learning, small and large group work, and casual interaction that is so important for the special needs of its students. The school will house special education classrooms, therapy gym, indoor pool, multipurpose room, teaching kitchen and laundry, student center and cybrarium, as well as administrative spaces.
