February 10, 2021 – The Los Angeles City College Theater Arts Replacement building is a visionary, transformational facility that completes the envisioned Arts District. The exciting new program will take advantage of the synergy of being near the Fine Arts and Music building with programmed outdoor spaces that encourage students to collaborate, socialize and linger. The project is envisioned as a memorable architectural landmark on the campus. Unique in the program, there will be 4 distinctly different types of theater venues; a Cameo theater, the middle-sized Black Box theater, and the largest theater will be the 400-seat fixed proscenium theater with an orchestra pit. The final theater is open to the sky and will be located on the roof.
