This project involved the design of a new Student Services Center for Ohlone College. The new facility consolidates student services into one location, draws activity to an area of the campus that was previously underutilized, and supports the 2005 Master Land Use Plan recommendations. The building design addresses the primary goals identified at the start of programming: to welcome students to the campus, develop easy access to services, to create a hub of activity.
The College is very enthusiastic about the design of their new center as it addresses their programmatic needs, re-energizes an underutilized area of the campus and preserves the sense of place that compliments the original hillside design. The design grows out of the original architectural character of the campus and expresses a new look for the campus of the 21st Century.
