Project Architect / Designer

Job Type: Architecture

Job Status: Full-Time

Short Description:  tBP/Architecture (www.tbparchitecture.com) specializes in educational projects.  tBP has offices in Newport Beach and Walnut Creek.  This position is available for either office but will require periodic traveling throughout California. The position is for an architect with design experience preferable in the California educational market.

Duties/Responsibilities:  The Project Designer (PD) works in collaboration with team members and under the supervision of the Director of Design/President. The PD assists in the design detailing of the work and ensure that it is properly completed. The PD is responsible for the project design evaluation in all phases of development and must be proficient in designing, space planning, color and material selection, detailing, documentation and constructability. The PD must be able to coordinate their work and share information with the project team as well as the Client and must convey ideas and concepts with professional clarity to clients both verbally and graphically.

Skills/Requirements:  Excellent organizational and communication skills including presentation and interview skills. Educational projects and Division of the State Architect (DSA) experience preferred. Working knowledge of following programs preferred;  AutoCad, Revit, Sketchup and Photoshop.

Education Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and California Licensed Architect preferred with at least three years of relevant experience.

Intern Architect

Job Type: Architecture

Job Status: Part-time or full time. If a current student, tBP will work with intern’s school schedule.

Short Description:  tBP/Architecture (www.tbparchitecture.com) specializes in educational projects.  tBP has offices in Newport Beach and Walnut Creek.  This position in in our Newport Beach office.

Duties/Responsibilities:  The position is for an intern architect level and requires completion of at least two years of college level courses. Prior experience in an architectural or other design firm is preferred but not required. 

Intern will assist in all phases of the project from preliminary design through construction administration.  Intern will work under the guidance of project designers and architects. Intern must be willing to take direction and guidance from practicing architects and be eager to learn the profession of architecture.

Skills/Requirements:  In order to maximize the intern’s experience, successful completion of at least two years of architectural studies is required. Intern must be proficient in the use of AutoCad and preferable have working understanding of Revit.

Salary / Wages: $12/hr to $20/hr depending on level.

 

 

 

 

Project Architect / Job Captain

Job Type: Architecture

Job Status: Full-Time

Short Description:  tBP/Architecture (www.tbparchitecture.com) specializes in K-14 educational and other public building projects.  tBP has offices in Newport Beach and Walnut Creek.  This position is available in both offices. Position is for a project architect/job captain/project manager level and requires prior experience in construction document preparation.

Duties/ Responsibilities:  Ability to organize a public bid project from schematic design through bidding. Assist the senior Project Architect/Manager in developing the project work plan and budget. Perform Code research to assure projects conforms to Division of State Architect or other governing jurisdiction requirements. Coordinates with consultant engineers to assure integrated documents. Meet with clients and incorporates client’s needs into documents.

Skills/ Requirements:  Experienced and proficient in AutoCAD, prefer experience and proficient in Revit. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Educational projects and Division of State Architect (DSA) experience preferred.

Education Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and California Licensed Architect preferred with at least four years of architecture construction document experience.

Salary / Wages: Negotiable (competitive based upon relevant experience)
