CITRUS COLLEGE Visual Arts Complex

Situated between the Performing Arts and the Student Services buildings, the new 3-story Visual Arts Complex creates a nexus for student creativity across multiple disciplines and establishes itself as a cultural center for students and the community. The building’s shape and verdant courtyard which houses a small amphitheater and curvilinear landscaping serves as an identifiable beacon for campus wayfinding. Analogous to a piece of fruit, the building folds open to reveal 3 different levels and types of art: 3-dimensional art on the ground level, digital arts on the second level, and traditional painting and drawing on the third level. Onlookers and patrons of the neighboring Student Services building café are allured by the open windows of the ground-floor formal art gallery.
