The old gymnasium building was constructed in 1971 and is a multi-story facility containing classrooms, locker rooms and a gym for a total of 38,226 square feet. The project to replace these facilities also includes a new Field House structure, as the existing structures have seismic faults directly beneath them. The new structures will be located on sites away from all known faults. The new complex will have reimagined interior space planned to provide needed interior program space for fitness, PE and potential kinesiology programs.
