This new Student Health Services building supports El Camino College’ students by providing comprehensive outpatient clinical and mental health care in a new facility that was, from conception to occupancy, completed in a blistering 8-month timeframe. In order to fund this project, the District looked to capture Higher Education Emergency Relief Funding (HEERF) grants. The solution to the challenge was for the College/Architect team to work with a modular manufacturer to plan, document and construct the 3,840 sf project with modular construction that will be built in a factory and delivered and erected on-site. This purpose-built facility creates a culture of wellness that promotes and supports healthy lifestyle practices across the El Camino College community.
