JOHN C. FREMONT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Classroom Replacement Building

This Classroom Building replaces 17 portable buildings that no longer meet the instructional and learning needs of its teachers and students, and posed safety and access challenges. The 20 classroom environment is designed to facilitate flexible teaching spaces that support various teaching and learning styles both inside and out. Classroom spaces are outfitted with teaching walls that contain storage and large group instructional media and unique furniture that can be organized in a multitude of ways to augment the healthy learning environment. Outdoor spaces have also been designed to support student learning. Winner of a Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce community enhancement award, the project “fits” the campus and has inspired pride in the community.
