Olinda Elementary School was prioritized in the District’s Long Range Facilities Master Plan as a school in need of improvements. The courtyard area was observed to have many trip hazards due to tree roots lifting the pavement. In order to create a safe and positive learning environment, tBP/Architecture designed the courtyard modernization which features a combination of curved concrete benches and modular bench seating flanked by new trees. Fencing, upgraded restrooms, parking and miscellaneous site revisions were also part of the project scope.
